Former Energy Secretary Angelo Reyes killed himself on Tuesday in front of his mother’s grave at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.
Initial reports said that Reyes shot himself with a .45 caliber pistol, with the single bullet going through his chest and apparently piercing his heart.
Health Secretary Enrique Ona said Reyes was officially pronounced dead at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center at around 8:32 a.m.
