Caught A Swindler In Quiapo Last Sunday [PIC]
I am blogging about this woman to get back at her for trying to steal our merchandise and also to warn others of this woman and her modus. The image above is the picture I took of her when we were in the police station.
I own a wholesale store here in Quiapo where I sell various fashion accessories and other general merchandise.
Last sunday, about 9am in the morning this woman entered our store as a buyer and talked to me if I would allow C.O.D on the stuffs that she’s going to buy. At first I was reluctant but I allowed it because she said that her store is just around the corner and her daughter is just opening at that time so she doesn’t have cash with her. So she went ahead and picked out some stuffs.
The first time she talked to me I was already suspicious of her because of the way she talked to me and the way she looks. She said stuffs no other buyers would normally say, like saying to me how much she is going to buy and reassuring me constantly that she is to be trusted. I was 50/50 about her because my saleslady told me that she was already a previous customer and she recognizes her. She also knows my sister who co-owns the store so I was really thinking if she is one of those swindlers or not.
So what I did was I whispered to my other saleslady to guard the merchandise carefully when they deliver because I’m very suspicious of the lady. I asked two of our salesladies instead of just one to deliver the merchandise so if the lady tries anything she would have a hard time getting rid of my two staffs.
Then after about 10 minutes I finished summing up her purchases and gave the receipt to my staff so they can get the payment when they arrive at her store. Once they left the store the lady was already trying to trick my saleslady into thinking that our deal was not C.OD. but a loan. She is talking about five six and other bullsh*ts. My staff is already on the alert so she insisted that the merchandise would be C.O.D, so the lady thinking she won’t be successful in her attempt tried to leave the staff in the city plaza mall ordering them to wait for her as she gets the money. My staff won’t agree to this so she insisted to follow her, the lady then got mad because my staff keeps on following her and in the end when the lady was already trying to escape my staff asked for help from the vendors and thankfully they helped her and brought her into the police station.
My staff came back and reported it to me so I came to the police station to file charges. Sadly I wasn’t able to fully press charges because the investigator told me that if I would press charges I would have to leave my merchandise as evidence to the court. I can’t do that, so I ended up having to let this b*itch go.
From this experience, I learned why victims like me ends up not filing charges to these criminals because then they would have to devote a huge deal of time to attend court hearings and such, spend money along the way and go through a lot of hassle.
We need to change this kind of system. Criminals should be punished not the victims. In my case the police would have to confiscate my merchandise to be submitted to court. WTF? Muntik na nga manakawan at the end confiscated pa stocks mo. Lose lose situtation. Sana picturan nalang nila ung merchandise.

Yun din naisip ko, dapat picturan lang nila yun ah. Grabe talaga mga tao ngayon kaya nga we must always be vigilant when going to places like Quiapo or Divisoria.
Anyway, san po store nyo sa Quipo? Minsan nagsisimba kami dyan tuwing Friday. Nabili rin ako minsan dyan ng mga accessories for jewelry making.
