Why is Manila traffic very bad?
It’s really sad to see how undisciplined and uncivilized people can be, specially some of those unruly buses, jeeps and pedicab can be. This is one of the main reasons why Manila traffic is bad. Just last month, we visited a new mall in Manila called the Lucky Chinatown Mall. Since it was a Sunday and it’s a new mall, I agreed to go there for a meeting and check the place out. Nescafe is giving out trips for 4 to Singapore, Malaysia or Hong Kong!
This summer, Nescafe is giving out several out of the country trips! I remember writing about 3 countries I want to visit again soon and it looks like one of those is going to be fulfilled (If I win)! Honda CRV 2012 now in Manila!
According to my sources, the first batch of the 4th generation Honda CRV will come directly from Japan. It will come in a 4×2 and the 4×4 variant. (4×4 variant with sunroof!) Basing it on the international specs, it will feature a 2.4-liter four cylinder engine with 5-speed automatic transmission. Capable of producing 185 horsepower and 163 pound-feet of torque, this car is not the fastest among the SUVs available but can do 0-60 in around 9 seconds. Also, it looks like there will be no manual transmission for the first batch. This was also the case for the first generation Honda CRV if I remember it correctly. Low on budget? A nice gift would be a planner that you worked (or drank) hard for! Give one of those famous Starbucks planner or maybe for a change, a Bo’s coffee planner! It’s the thought and effort that counts you know. If not, there’s a lot of novelty planners out there. For a more luxurious touch, you can get one of those Mole Skins. I don’t see the value in them but that’ll sound expensive.
Make up
Girl’s love ‘em! Just make sure you secretly know what is suitable for her skin. Read on one of those famous beauty bloggers locally or just go directly to the choice of brand that she uses. Don’t be surprised that your bill might reach or even exceed 8,000 pesos! After that, you’ll know that make ups are not that cheap after all. But hey! Girls appreciate it.
Shades
Living in a tropical country where the sun is either scorching hot or wet and rainy. Well, it’s mostly hot so a gift to protect the eye is a great thing to give! I personally recommend Oakley or Rayban depending on what fits her better. For Oakley, a plastic frame shades would cost aroun 5k to 8k and a metal frame from 7k up to 20k. For Rayban, average price is 6k for the plastic and 10k for the metal frame.
Jewelry (Necklace, bracelet, ring)
Who said jewelries need to be expensive. There are a lot of stones out there but please don’t just grab one from the streets unless you want one to land on your noggin. They will love you (more!) Want to impress her? Don’t show her your programming skills or how good you are in playing basketball (cough* NBA 2K12 *cough). Learn about the stones, most specially diamonds and look at how amazed they will be. Been there, done that.
Memorable getaway
When was the last time you spent quality time together? Do be aware that girls love and appreciate quality time. Yes, this is coming from a guy and yes, repost this blog if you want one of the items listed here, or just to let your guy know that you need quality time, quality shades, some nice make up and one or two diamonds as bling blings.
