Is there a valid reason to commemorate and to proudly take pictures with faces smiling as if touring the place — oh wait, that’s a tour bus! A hijacked tour bus… That makes sense… Indeed, it does! If only the situation was handled “less poorly” then maybe, just maybe, the smiling faces would be reasonable.

As if it were not bad enough that they were totally incompetent in dealing with the situation, now they have to add insult to injury by treating it like a tourist attraction rather than the crime scene that it is. If your relatives had been killed here, would you appreciate the police taking these kinds of pictures. And you have the gall to say people are hypocrites, that this is not a “big deal”! I can’t believe that we taxpayers pay for these stupid cops’ training, salaries and allowances. Yet, they aren’t contented. So they go out and abuse us thru “kotong”, “hulidap”, etc. Finally, they embarass us in front of the whole world by bungling a hostage rescue operation in which, ironically at that, another policeman was the hostage taker! If that wasn’t enough, they even have the gall to pose SMILING at the site of their biggest booboo yet! Where are your brains, coppers? I’m not proud of you guys at all, pinag-aral ko pa naman kayo ng pawis at dugo ko during your time at the Police Academy, pati uniform n’yo sagot ko pa then kinokotongan n’yo pa ako sa kalye tapos eto pa? Sobrang nakakahiya na kayo, sobra na!

We are rendered insensitive and calloused here in the Philippines because we always hear of murders, hostages, suicides, rapes, and tortures EVERY DAY. Well, in HK, it’s not that way.
