Today is the inauguration day for the president elect Noynoy Aquino. You can watch the live stream here http://ph.promo.yahoo.com/purple-thumb/first100days provided by TV5.

What’s going to happen in the next 6 years? My prediction is a continuous descend of Noynoy’s popularity rating. No matter how respected your last name is or who your parents is, you will be dragged down because that’s how it is here in the Philippines. There will be controversies that will surround the new president and that is inevitable.

Its hard to be a president in the Philippines because people will hate you when you fail to bring change. If Noynoy for some miracle does bring change, in which i doubt because he has failed to do anything for the past decade as a senator, then for once people will love and respect the president. That is what I hope for because that’s what it should be.

But when he fails to bring change in the Philippines, then I’m sure the Aquino name will be treated very differently after 6 years.

True.. Noy sure is in a lot of pressure to preserve dignity of the family name. But in my personal opinion, I don’t think he would actually steal. But of course, it is a possibility. The main concern is if he would actually achieve anything as president. Based on his record… I’m highly doubting it. But I do hope he does make something happen or at least make something START to happen before his term ends. Good luck Mr. President.
