Intelligent dogs are easier to train but also requires correct method of training. No matter how smart your dog is, it depends on the owner’s patience, knowledge and skill. Its intelligence and ability to absorb and retain training have brought him into demand as a police and war dog. Even though they can be trained to be ferocious, many of these dogs are very gentle and docile. Biologist Stanley Coren ranks the Doberman as the 5th most intelligent dog in the category of obedience command training based on the selective surveys he performed of some trainers as documented in his book The Intelligence of Dogs.

    I wanted to get a collie before, kasi nga madali daw i-train. But a friend offered a Siberian Husky and I soo love this breed! I fell in love w/ him as soon as I saw him! Am currently working on training him, and he now knows how to sit on command. Good boy!

    Not surprised about the Border Collie — they are amazing. I’m going to assume that they’ve lumped the Australian Shepherd in there, or didn’t consider them, because their intelligence is right up there with the Border Collies, and often people confuse the two. Adorable video. My Aussie has been trying to talk lately.. think I’ll keep working on it. He’s learning to say “frisbee.” lol.

    I was interested that the border collie was top smartest but I’m twelve years old and I have a Labrador retriever her name is Gracie I love her to death she says hi and hello she knows how to punch lol she’s very sneaky she knows how to get on the trampoline and jump she knows how to play basketball and volleyball shes learning kick ball she is just sooooooooooooo amasing her breed deserves the top smartest breed
